I’m going to do my best to answer and respond to every single one of you! It’s my mission to make Oklah0ma even more gorgeous than you already are!
So, for a little bit about me…
I’m a freelance makeup artist here in Oklahoma, and I just love what I do! I’ve been here in OK for 5 years, and I’m finally feeling “almost” at home! Home for me is just north of Boston, Massachusetts, where I was born, raised, and made into the makeup diva I am today.
My career in the beauty industry leads me back ten years, to my early twenties. It’s always been my passion and where my interest has always been! Over the past year, my career has really taken even more amazing turns. I have been so fortunate to have worked with some of the most incredible people here in this great state…from the wonderful staff at The Brides of Oklahoma Magazine, to talented… photographers, to awe inspiring wedding coordinators, to “Oklahoma Royalty” Morgan Woolard, Miss OK USA 2010 and Kaityln Smith, Miss OK USA 2011, and HGTV Design Star favorite Kellie Clements…I have met and worked with some of the most wonderful people. I have found myself on nearly every photo shoot that has caught public attention, and continue to work with the amazing staff and models at Anthony David Modeling Agency. In October, I was honored enough to have been asked to be the Key Makeup Artist for the Chesapeake Energy “Runway for United Way” fashion show, held on Campus, where I was responsible for a six makeup artist and six hair stylist backstage team, that prepped thirty Anthony David models for Balliet’s and On A Whim’s incredible show! My work has graced the pages and covers of Brag Book Magazine, and most recently, I was asked to join the staff here at the ever evolving So6ix Magazine, as their official Beauty Director, working with them to conceptualize photo shoots, direct hair and makeup, and share my expertise and love of writing in monthly articles and online beauty tutorial videos! Just this past month I was honored to have been brought on board by the wonderful people at Marianne’s Rentals for Special Events, and expand my creativity as a Creative Director for a couture fashion show we premiered at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show on February 26th. However, the highlight of my career thus-far was in September, when I was asked to be the personal makeup artist to A-List Actor, Rob Lowe, while he was here on behalf of the Susan G. Komen foundation! To say I was star struck is a slight understatement!
As for my freelance work, I am thrilled to be a very busy makeup artist for many of the most gorgeous brides here in this state! In 2011, I was proud to announce my expansion, from just lil’ol me…to an extremely talented team of industry professionals, and establish an entire team for your on location needs. My team members and I can accommodate every beauty need you can imagine…from makeup, false lashes, hair styled updo’s, blow-outs, extensions…you name it, we can handle it.
I cannot wait to get to be more interactive with our readers here at So6ix Magazine! I’m so excited to have this opportunity! Be sure to visit the site and read my monthy articles, and view my video tutorials! I’d love to hear what you want to see me take on! Bring it, Oklahoma!!
